根據美國ESI（Essential Science Indicators）基本科學指標數據庫7月1日公布的最新數據，我校理學院教師張鄭芳2011年以第三作者發表的SCI論文“Dielectric boundary force in molecular solvation with the Poisson-Boltzmann free energy: A shape derivative approach”入選ESI高被引論文（Highly Cited Papers），至此我校已有4篇SCI論文進入 ESI高被引論文行列。
“ESI 高被引論文”是指相比同年、同學科發表的其他SCI或SSCI論文，被引用次數進入全球前1％的論文。我校此前入選ESI高被引論文的3篇論文分別是：管理學院教師周濤的“Exploring Chinese users' acceptance of instant messaging using the theory of planned behavior, the technology acceptance model, and the flow theory”“Understanding online community user participation: a social influence perspective”和電子信息學院教師宋強的“On Pinning Synchronization of Directed and Undirected Complex Dynamical Networks ”。此外，7月份最新數據顯示，我校工程學學科（Engineering）ESI排名與5月份首次進入時相比又提升了16位。
本次ESI數據統計區間為2003年1月1日至2013年6月30日。在ESI評價的22個學科中我校共發表論文1150篇，總被引次數為3312次，篇均引用次數為2.88次，其中工程學領域近十年發表SCI論文總數為303篇，總被引次數為1176次，篇均引用次數為3.89次。（圖書館）
